SESSION OUTLINES

+ URBAN FARM ADVENTURE

Geography // Features of Places
Students take a tour of the farm and learn about the methods we use to take care of the land where we are growing. They’ll get to observe and discuss native bees, beneficial flowers, chooks and a range of vegetables. Might even be able to get into some weeding... if they’re lucky!
Time: 2 hours // Cost: $15 per child (minimum cost $300)

+ SEEDS, SPROUTS, SURVIVAL

Science // Natural Environment
Students learn about the needs of plants to survive. They explore plants at differing stages and compare healthy plants to non- healthy plants. Children plant their own seed to take home and watch them grow in all their glory.
Time: 2 hours // Cost: $15 per child (minimum cost $300)

+ R.A.D Kids

Geography // People Live in Places
Students are introduced to the responsibility they hold as humans to care for the places they engage with. Whether it be the home or the environment. With the 4R Model in mind, children learn how to ‘Rethink, Re- use, Reduce and Recycle’. Bin sorting and bingo will be involved. This workshop will blossom children into Responsible, Awesome and Dedicated little people. Pretty RAD to be honest.

+ POWERFUL POLLINATION

Science // Natural Environment
Students learn about the role pollinating insects have on a farm. They’ll go on a bug hunt, discover all sorts of habitats for insects, and make seed-bombs full of bee-loving plant seeds!
