Come to the farm for a full days worth of gardening essentials. Building a healthy foundation for your plants is the most important thing in terms of nutrition and taste. So we've decided to head back to basics. Often a plant might be struggling because of nutrient deficiencies within the soil or errors in propagation. So we're going to cover 4 key factors that will help prevent unhappy plants in the garden.

You will leave the farm with an abundance of practical tips and the reasoning behind it. Our teacher Jon has a world of knowledge and experience under his belt. So if you're looking to start a garden or improve an existing one. Come on down!

Teacher: Jon Kingston studied horticultural science (B.Hort Sci) at UWS Hawkesbury and has worked in garden design, bush regeneration, vegetable gardens, horticulture retail and production for 25 years. During this time he has partaken in the design and delivery of over 10 community and/or edible garden projects including the James Street Community Garden in Redfern, The Wayside Chapel's gardens in Bondi Beach and Kings Cross, kitchen and cocktail gardens for numerous restaurants, a handful of new gardens for City West Housing and a range of private backyards and balconies. He specialises in ecological design, organic food production systems, and bush land restoration.
