An hour of fun on the farm! A unique opportunity for children to learn from Pocket City Farms' market garden in the middle of the city, and to connect with farming, the natural world and the way our food is grown.
We’ll plant some winter seedlings and harvest some worm wee to take home to water them with. Then we’ll take a little walk in the market garden to talk about seasonal food growing and harvest some herbs to make pesto with, which we'll then eat with some fresh gnocchi from acre.
Suitable for: Ages 4-12. (Children under 4 are also welcome with parent/guardian supervision).
Includes: Lunch (pesto gnocchi - dairy free, nut free).
Bring: Hat + gloves.
