Spend an evening with a beverage on the farm with Emily from Warre Wraps. You’ll learn about the benefits of wax procured from the Natural beekeeping methods, and get your hands in to making beeswax wraps from start to finish. Warre Wraps are a sustainable and reuseable alternative to plastic wrapping and keeping your food fresh. They have a long life time and can be rejuvenated when they begin to wear, and when finally used up (after years) they can be composted! Learn Emily’s techniques and special mix to make the wraps, and hear from her about her natural beekeeping practices.

You’ll walk away with:
3 Warre Wraps made by you
Guidelines on making more at home.

Cost: $80

Your ticket includes a glass of wine, beer or bubbly.

Your Teacher

Emily Gimellaro is a Natural Warrè beekeeper with a passion for the environment., helping you go waste free with beautiful natural dyed eco solutions. She lives with her family in the Southern Highlands of NSW and is a proud advocate for beecentric beekeeping. Beekeeping in a warre hive is as natural as it gets - no plastic frames, no chemical treatments, and no feeding the bees sugar syrup, which means the wax used to make her wraps hasn't been contaminated in any way.
