Connect with food, nature and the seasons.
Learn to grow and learn to cook.
All on a farm in the city.

Our Little Farmers and Little Chefs program has been created to encourage and empower children to gain a closer connection with food and its origins. The new Little Farmers After School and Sunday sessions are taught by the Pocket City Farms team and are a unique opportunity for children to learn from a working market garden in the middle of the city, and to connect with farming, the natural world and the way our food is grown. Our Little Chefs sessions are taught by the chefs at Acre, the eatery at Camperdown Commons, and are a great way to learn new skills to prepare food at home.

Stop in after school each Wednesday for an hour of hands-on farm, kitchen and natural craft based activities. Learn new skills for growing and cooking you can use at home and get creative in the environment of a working urban market garden.
Every Wednesday 4-5pm, $18, or two for $30.

Join us every second Sunday for a morning of fun on the farm! Start with a farm tour and discussion on the week's topic, then we'll get our hands dirty with some farm activities, and will round the session up by making (and eating!) a simple meal from freshly picked produce.
Every second Sunday 10:30-1pm, $45, or two for $80.

Little Farmers and Little Chefs sessions are ideal for children ages 5-12. Children ages 1.5-4 welcome (some sessions more suitable than others) and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children ages 13-15 are also very welcome.

All sessions are held at Pocket City Farms and Acre at Camperdown Commons, 31A Mallett St, Camperdown NSW 2050.
