SATURDAY MORNING VOLUNTEERING

  • Pocket City Farms 31A Mallett St CAMPERDOWN Australia (map)

Our regular two-hour volunteer sessions are a great way to get started working with, and learning from our Environment and Sustainability team. By signing up to join us for these sessions you'll be involved in managing our community food forest to protect and enhance our natural environments. Activities include undertaking a range of jobs from weeding, seed-raising, plant propagation, planting, watering, mulching and making compost. The jobs involved will vary from week to week - please note we cannot guarantee particular tasks on any given day. If you do not see a date listed, we have reached capacity for that session or are not running due to holidays.

Children are welcome, however must be accompanied and supervised by their parents or guardian. Volunteers with disability are also invited to join us - if a carer is needed please ensure that they attend with you. Advise us in the notes below of special needs and we will do our best to find an activity that is suitable.

By registering below your place is confirmed in the volunteer session for the date chosen. You will receive an email confirmation with details of the session plus a link to change or cancel the session if your plans change and you cannot come. These sessions book out well in advance so please make sure you release your place for someone else if you cannot make it on the day.

Please BYO hat and water bottle, and own gloves if desired. Wear sturdy flat enclosed shoes. We really value the time spent on the farm by volunteers and look forward to seeing you on the farm soon!
