MAKE - IT SERIES // PICKLES AND PRESERVES

Spend an evening on the farm with Caroline Trickey from Healthy Home Cafe and learn about the much loved world of pickles & preserves. You will learn how to prepare and preserve vinegar based pickles and quick-pickles of seasonal vegetables from Pocket City Farms, and take home three of jars of your own handmade pickles to gift. 

You’ll take home with you three jars of pickles made by you, plus instructions on how to continue pickling at home.

Cost: $90

Provided: Ingredients and equipment for pickling, and refreshing drinks made with ingredients from the farm.

The Teacher:
Caroline Trickey is Author of Vegge-licious, and owner of
Healthy Home Cafe. Caroline uses her experience as a Culinary Nutritionist, Dietician, and Health Coach to help her clients leave fad diets behind to embrace joyful, nutritious food that boosts health and prevents illness. Caroline ran a Melbourne based cafe and catering business for twelve years before turning her attention to her Wholefood Organic Cooking School. She is a self-declared foodie who is passionate about cooking and eating plant-based foods.
