MAKRUT LIME
Citrus hystrix
Makrut limes, also known as kaffir limes, are much loved for their aromatic leaves, which are fantastic for imparting a Southeast Asian flavour to curries, soups and stir fries. The fruit are interesting too, with bumpy skin and while they don't have much juice, the zest packs a punch! The strong flavoursome Makrut Lime has a range of additional medicinal and cosmetic applications such as salves, essential oils, and in hair care products.
