GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY

Pocket City Farms connects our community to the land and local ecosystem, showcasing how we can protect and regenerate our environments, all whilst growing nutritious, clean, local food. Our volunteering sessions take place at our farm in Camperdown, which includes a community food forest, environmental education spaces and a chook pen.

chicken carers program

Our Chicken Carers are a team of volunteers who join a roster to ensure that our three lovely chickens are checked on every morning and evening. If you would like to learn about chicken care or want to experience looking after chooks before you take them on yourself, this program is for you.

Make sure the chooks are put away at night and let out in the morning

Keep the chooks happy with plenty of treats and attention

Bonus: Chicken carers can take home any eggs they find!

Please email our farm manager to join our next intake of new chicken carers.
